The Star Meets the Motometer, 1931 Ford Texaco Tow Truck
The Last of the Model A’s
No car in U.S. history caused the excitement of the Model A Ford in 1927. Over
25 million Americans jammed showrooms just for a peek at this totally redesigned
Ford. Companies that needed commercial vehicles were just as excited. It was
natural for oil companies like Texaco to select the Model a pickup for their
fleets. The 1931 Model A was especially popular for two major reasons—it was
the first all-steel bodied Ford and the cargo space was increased over 30% to
22.2 feet.
Precision Engineered to Ford Specifications
This 1:18 scale precision die cast replica is an exact reproduction of the original

to the famous Texaco star on the doors. With working tow ropes and tailgate,
opening hood and doors, and real rubber tires all topped off with Texaco’s famous
fire engine red factory baked-enamel finish, it is a must for all collectors.
