Combination of All That is Fine in Motor Cars 1930
Packard Brewster Convertible Sedan
 Youre
the Top; Youre a Brewster Body Cole
Porter certainly had it right in his classic Youre the Top. Brewster had a
100-year tradition as Americas Foremost Carriage Maker. Started in 1810 in
New Haven, they gained a reputation as making the Rolls-Royce of the Horse- Drawn
Carriage. By the second decade of the 20th century, Brewster had become the principle
U.S. coachbuilder of Rolls-Royce motorcars. In 1930, Packards Individual, Custom
Line offered 5 Brewster bodies. It is thought that 25 were built, including 2
Convertible Sedans. With an original cost of over $7000, Brewsters quality and
innovative designs were becoming too expensive for even the upper class as the
Depression set in. In 1931 Brewster went into receivership. Precision
Engineered from the Actual Car When
making a die cast reproduction of an individually custom-built car there are no
short cuts available. You have to find one, and then measure and photograph it
from every angle imaginable before you can start building the mold. With a Certified
Classic Car like the 1930 Packard Brewster Convertible Sedan, every detail from
the hood ornament to rear luggage rack must be perfect. We are proud to offer
this 1:18 scale precision die cast replica, a perfectly executed scale-model of
this vintage, Milestone automobile.
