The Fighting
Bull
A fighting bull named Murcielago took the stage with matador
Rafael Molina `Largertijo` in front of a Spanish crowd on October
5th, 1897, a confrontation ensues. Murcielago the Bull took
over 24 spears but managed to continue fighting. The bull`s
life was spared and declared one of the strongest bulls of all
time. Murcielago went on to become a father a line of bulls
that extends to the present day. The Lamborghini Murcielago
was named after the fighting bull because of his ferocity.
Awesome
Performance
This Bull lends styling cues from previous Lamborghini`s,
with awesome performance and drivability. The two rear wings
pop up for engine cooling and increases the aesthetic value
of the car at a standstill which functions as a system for cooling
efficiency known as the Variable Air-Flow Cooling System. The
VACS uses active intakes with different aperture settings up
to 20 degrees that suits driving conditions. Another dynamic
aero device complements the VACS. The spoiler changes up to
70 degrees at 220kph to stabilize the car at high speeds. The
aerodynamic drag increases from 0.33 Cd to 0.36 Cd when the
spoiler reaches its open position.
The
V12, 6.2-liter engine is an evolution of the Diablo 6.0 power
plant. The new engine has two new variable systems, which are
Variable Valve Timing & Variable-Geometry Intake systems with
a square power band with aid in engine efficiency and a square
power band.
The Murcielago
Lives Up to it`s Name!
The Murcielago is equipped with a 6-Speed Manual and the layout
of the transmission is retained from Diablo & Countach design.
The Murcielago has four-wheel drive with a center viscous coupling.
This layout has an active control system: with excess torque
on the primary-rear axle that is transferred to the front axle
if needed. This keeps ideal traction at all times. The Lamborghini
Murcielago lives up to its name as the strongest fighting bull
of all time.
