Westland Wessex HC - 1:72 Scale

Britain's Premier Troop Carrying Helicopter Westland Wessex HC Adopted from the Sikorsky Choctaw British Admiralty realized the Sikorsky Choctaw was the premier anti-submarine helicopter and, in the early 1960's, obtained a license from Sikorsky to make their version. A few years later, Westland adapted the original Wessex into the HC troop-carrier, which also could handle an under slung Howitzer or Land Rover. Redesigning the nose and rotor heads plus switching to twin Rolls Royce Gnome engines, gave it the lift needed to carry up to 16 troops. In total 68 HC's were built.
