The Most Valuable U.S. Car & His Super-Rich Cousins!
Most Valuable Cadillac Ever!
1931 Cadillac V-16 Roadster
Smoothness, Silence and Sophistication
Cadillacs decision to make V-16 powered cars in the depths of the Depression has sparked controversy for over 70 years. Never thought of as a profit center, these smooth, silent and sophisticated V-16 cars firmly planted Cadillac as the #1 luxury car maker in America, surpassing Packard and Pierce-Arrow. At $5350, this 1931 Roadster, with its Fleetwood body, was the least expensive V-16, although it still cost more than 13 times as much as a Ford. Today, however, it has appreciated to almost $400,000, making it the most valuable Cadillac ever made.

1932 Cadillac® Phaeton V-16
Over 2.5 Tons of Flawless Beauty
Cadillac V-16's of the 1930's are among the most beautiful and valuable cars ever made. Although never big sellers, their style and grace left a lasting impression on the American public. In 1932 only 300 V-16's were built, 6 of which were custom-made Phaetons with bodywork by Fisher. At $4,695 (worth over $350,000 today), this Dual Cowl Phaeton weighed well over 5000 pounds. Although there has always been much talk about the V-16 engine, ultimately it is the long hood, sloping windshield, flared fenders, Heron hood ornament and four headlights that give the 1932 Cadillac Phaeton its timeless beauty.
