The Big Brown FleetHistorical UPS Truck1934 FordUPS Thrives on Change in Common Carrier Laws
In 1940 the U.S. government drastically changed the rules and regulations for common freight carriers and suddenly UPS was allowed to virtually deliver any size package to any destination, business or private. This expanded their business dramatically and brought about a big order to DIVCO for their 1940 vans to go along with their fleet of 1934 Ford delivery trucks.
The 1934 Ford trucks featured their 221 cubic inch V-8 engine now upped to 90 horsepower. DIVCO started building milk delivery vans in the 1920's and was the U.S. leader in this vehicle. Both of these trucks are heavy 1:28 scale precision die-cast with little or no plastic parts. The 1934 Ford was part of the UPS Employee collection. These are true closeouts and once gone will never be repeated so please ACT NOW!
