Where Wars Are Really Won
WWII Infantry Figures
German Infantry Figures
From the Shores of Normandy to the Heart of Germany
No matter how many planes, tanks, missiles or other high-tech weaponry are developed, as we are finding in Iraq, it is the foot-soldier that finalizes the war. After D-Day it was the U.S. infantry that overcame terrible weather, tank-grounding fuel shortages and the German army to march through France into the heart of Germany. The U.S. Infantry was better equipped, better trained, and better led than the Germans, who were a combination of the too old, the too young, and a few battle-weary veterans. We are proud to present these Limited Edition Corgi sets of hand-painted figures, all with correct uniforms and weaponry of the drive across Europe that ended the Western front of WWII.
