B-26 Marauder - 1:107 Scale

Bought Right Off the Drawing Board B-26 Marauder Lowest Loss-Rate of Any U.S. Bomber in Europe The Glenn C. Martin Company won the Army Air Corps 1939 Medium Bomber Competition without even making a prototype or pre-production sample. The key feature of the B-26 Marauder was a wing design developed for high-speed cruising not ease of landing. Inexperienced pilots had so much difficulty handling them they had, for a brief time, the nickname “widow maker”. But more experienced pilots appreciated the 310 mph top speed and 1150 mile range even when loaded with two-tons of bombs. 5,157 were produced in total. The Marauder became the chief medium range bomber for the 9th AF and had the lowest loss-rate of any bomber in Europe. Model Features • Rotating Propellers • Display Stand Included • Precision Die-Cast Replica • 1:107 Scale—6 Inches Long
