Start - Better Finish
The Honda S2000 had several overall designs set up by the designers and
engineers to define its nature. They wanted the driver to enjoy the car
in everyday driving with its racecar performance and handling. The S2000
was equipped with a full range of safety features, low emissions and a
responsible modern automobile. The Honda designers based the car after
the Honda SSM, which debuted at the 1995 Tokyo Motor Show and appeared
at the Chicago and German Shows gaining excellent reviews.
The
Street Tuner Series is of course a customized version that brings out
the cars best when good base design meets the smart street designers of
LA - Trick paint, custom 20" rims, ground effects, rear spoiler,
custom fiberglass deck and a boost of Nitrous Oxide. Hey, anyone with
an extra $30-40 grand can probably do the same thing :
Legendary
Spirit
The roadster layout achieved the legendary spirit of the performance sport
cars of the past like the S500 Roadster. The Honda S2000 didn`t want to
be labeled as a retro sports car. They wanted the S2000 to be labeled
as modern sports car because of the performance, style, durability, comfort
and state of the art technology. The designers and engineers created several
prototypes after the design studies were finalized. The engineers went
to Europe with the prototypes to mature the design of the S2000. The styling
and performance was refined during the maturing phase. The finishing touches
were also applied to the seats, control layout and visibility for the
Honda S2000.
