The Last Boss1970 Boss Mustang 429A Pony on Steroids
Ford wanted a NASCAR racer and needed to build 500 Boss 429 V-8 Mustangs to meet the requirement. Even though the car was never raced (Ford used a Talladega for NASCAR), jamming that 375 horsepower engine into a pony car certainly turned heads. So much reworking had to be done in the Mustang's engine compartment that Ford used Kar Kraft Engineering to do the work. At $4798, this Mustang was only for the few who lived for speed. The Boss experience was cancelled after 1970.
