What a Police Car Should Look Like
1968 Plymouth Fury III Police Car
Police Power
Now this is what a police car should look like. No dull Caprices or Crown Victorias. For the Chicago police in 1968, it was a beautiful blue and white Plymouth Fury III. The Fury III, which added dual taillights to the roof and rear deck gutters of the Fury II, was Plymouth's best selling 4-door car. The 230hp V-8 gave it power to spare and the price of $2969 was certainly competitive. And no, the hood ornament was not stolen. 1968 Plymouth's had none.
