Designed to Win the Trans-Am Race Series
1968 Chevrolet Camaro Z28
Mission Accomplished
The Z28 option package for the 1968 Chevrolet Camaro Coupe had the sole purpose of increasing power and handling so it could compete in the 1968 Trans Am race series. For $400 above the $2694 list price for the V-8 Coupe, the buyer got the racer's favorite engine, the underrated 290hp. V-8, an engine that didn't reach maximum power until 6000rpms. And GM accomplished the mission and how, with driver Mark Donohue winning 10 of 13 races. 7,199 Z28's were sold. The National Motor Museum Mint is proud to present this muscle car classic in our exclusive color combination.
