The Real Interceptor
1958 Ford Fairlane Police Car
Perfect for Police Work
It is the black and white truth that for over 100 years, Fords have been the dominant maker of American police cars. The National Motor Museum Mint has produced these exclusive 1:32 scale precision die-cast replicas to salute both the Ford Motor Company and the fine work of local police departments across the country.
The 1958 Ford line was particularly popular with the police due to the introduction of the big-block V-8 engine. Our Fairlane 500 Town Sedan featured the 332 cubic inch 240hp. Interceptor engine. Reasonably priced at $2527, over 100,000 were produced. Not only economical and sturdy, with its solid B-pillar, the Fairlanes were probably the most attractive squad cars ever. The anodized gold on the side panels plus quad front and rear lights put this car in a class by itself.
