So Popular, Entire Production Sold Out in 4 Months!
1955 Packard Caribbean
Most Valuable Packard of Its Time
The 1955 Caribbean was Packards last attempt to regain the prestige of its glory days in the 1930s. Priced at $5932, it was $1100 more than a Cadillac El Dorado convertible. It featured the new Torsion-level suspension and a massive 352 cubic inch 275 hp. V-8 engine. Combining these technological features with a flashy 3-tone finish, it sold out in 4 months as Packard could only produce 500 due to money woes. Today, one in great condition would sell for close to $50,000, making it the most valuable post-WWII Packard.
