Internationally Award Winning Design
1953 Nash-Healey LeMans Hardtop
A Winner for Speed and Design
The 1953 Nash-Healey, now designed by the famous Italian stylists at Pinin Farina, not only won 1st prize for design at the International Concours DElegance, but also finished first in its class at LeMans. Truly a dual-purpose sports car, it was quick and nimble on the road and strong on the track. However, its $5899 price tag (compared to Corvettes $3513 and Cadillacs Coup de Villes $3995) made sales minimal. Between the hardtop and convertible, only 162 Nash-Healeys were sold in 1953. First designed by Englands Donald Healey for the 1950 LeMans, the Nash-Healey remains one of the finest examples of European styling and American engineering.
