Classic Styling, Legendary Performance
1953 Jaguar XK 120 Coupe
The Perfect Sports Car
Founder Sir William Lyons ran jaguar from 1922 to 1972. Asked which of his legendary cars was his favorite his reply was always the same. XK 120. First developed as a publicity project, overwhelming public interest moved it quickly into production. From 1948 to 1954 12,000 were sold as they not only burned up the racing circuit, starting with Stirling Moss’ 1950 Tourist trophy win, but, at under $4,000, became everybody’s favorite sports car.
Legend in Its Own Time
So popular, especially outside England where over 90% were sold, was the XK 120 that Jaguar had to move to new facilities on Brown Lane in Coventry to meet demand. The styling was modern looking with its integrated fenders and long narrow hood. The guaranteed 120mph came from its unique 160hp. Twin-overhead camshaft engine. This beautiful 1:18 scale precision die-cast replica has been produced from original factory blueprints and specifications. It truly is the gold standard for die-cast.
