1949 Cadillac Series 62 Club Coupe - 1:32 Scale

World's Newest Engine for the World's Finest Car 1949 Cadillac Series 62 Club Coupe Tested Over One Million Miles Cadillac did not take replacing its revered L-head engine lightly. Work on the new OHV V-8 started in 1936 and, one million test miles later, it was ready for the 1949 line. Smaller and 188 lbs. lighter than the L-head, the 331 cubic inch V-8 provided 10 more horsepower (now 160) and 20% more miles per gallon. No wonder sales increased 76% from 1948 to a new Cadillac record of over 92,000 cars sold. The Series 62 Club Coupe, at $2966, was the least expensive of this series. It had all the features that had their ad campaign claiming the 1949's were the most beautiful Cadillacs ever made.
