The One for '41
1941 Plymouth Highway Patrol Sedan
Not Fast, But Economical and Dependable
Although technically out of the Depression, times were still hard in 1941. With price a big consideration, many state highway patrol departments selected Plymouth for their patrol cars. Priced a few dollars less than comparable Fords and Chevrolets, Plymouths were dependable and safe (Safety Rim wheels were a new feature in '41) but with its' 87hp. Inline 6 engine, it certainly wasn’t the fastest car on the road. Maybe the triple speed lines on the fenders made it appear that way.
