To be fair, every U.S, automaker contributed to the war effort. Whether they built tanks, aircraft engines or other parts and vehicles, WWII brought out the best in Americans industry. Using Ford’s for military purposes was both efficient and economical. No vehicles were priced better than Ford and the Flathead V-8 engine provided power and reliability.
