The Nazis Car of Choice1938 Mercedes-Benz 770KFor High Ranking Party Members Only
The Mercedes-Benz 770K had its origin in 1930 as a transitional model following the 1926 merger of Mercedes and Benz. The first requirement was that it would cruise at 90mph. This was achieved by supercharging the inline-8 engine, bringing its horsepower up to 230 (in 1938). It was the fastest standard model of its kind in the world. By 1938, it was only available as a special-order for Hitler and his cronies. Hitler, after surviving an accident in which the other car was destroyed and his Mercedes had hardly a scratch, would only drive Mercedes.
A Classic Car for Ceremonial Use
Our precision-engineered replica of the 1938 770K has every feature of the CCCA-classic except the armored plating (which resulted in them averaging 5mpg). The elegant front features a photo-etched grille and detailed supercharged engine. The dual side spares are real. All four doors open to a carpeted, detailed interior. Even the trunk is carpeted. This is a blueprint-exact reproduction of the Cost-No-Object design and engineering that Mercedes-Benz exemplified in the 1930s
