In 1932 Henry Ford shocked the automotive world by jumping right to a V-8 engine. It is no wonder the 1932 Ford is still celebrated 75 years later as the Little Deuce Coupe. Its 65-horsepower V-8 engine, classic look and rumble seat made it the most memorable car of that era. By 1934 almost every Ford truck featured the V-8 engine, now upped to 85-horsepower. This pickup has been converted into a tow truck by repositioning the rear axle and adding a wood-look plank flatbed and chains. So popular was Ford's V-8 that in 1934 over 1 million cars and trucks were sold with that engine, an incredible accomplishment in the depths of the Great Depression.
