Classic Lines and Timeless Design
1932 Lincoln KB Sports Roadster
The Pinnacle of American Coach Building
Experts refer to the 1930's as the peak of American custom coachbuilding. Edsel Ford, who unlike his father Henry had an eye and affection for classic lines and timeless design, signed up all the best coachmakers for the Lincoln. In 1932, LeBaron, Dietrich, Judkins, Willoughby, Brunn, Ralston and Murphy all made custom bodies for Lincoln. This Sport Roadster, made by Murphy, cost $6800 and weighed almost 3 tons. Only 3 were produced, and like all KB Lincolns, they were powered by the massive and rugged 447.9 cubic inch V-12 engine designed by Chief Engineer Frank Johnson.
