Although some think this design was created to compete with the Lincoln and Cadillac huge V-12 engines, all agree that the result was the best-styled Chryslers ever. Powered by the huge 125-horsepower Straight-8 engine, the all-steel Le Barons featured lower floors and Chryslers new “Silent Running” fans, air-intake and exhaust systems.
