Best Styled Chrysler Ever1932 Chrysler Imperial LeBaron PhaetonLong Hood Leads the Way
Ralph Roberts, the designer of the 1932 LeBaron Imperials, found his inspiration for the long-hood look while touring Europe a few years earlier. Although some think this design was created to compete with the Lincoln and Cadillac huge V-12 engines, all agree that the result was the best-styled Chryslers ever. Powered by the huge 125-horsepower Straight-8 engine, the all-steel Le Barons featured lower floors and Chryslers new Silent Running fans, air-intake and exhaust systems.
