1932 Buffalo Type 50 Fire Engine, Montville, N.J.
A True Classic
Buffalo Fire Appliance was once one of the more popular builders, and is still one of the most popular names on the roster of rigs in private ownership. The company was founded in Buffalo, New York, in 1920 with the intention of getting into the business of helping cities convert from horse-drawn steamers to automotive-powered pumpers. This 1932 Buffalo was a 500 gpm Type 50 B Custom Model and featured a ‘triple combination’-pump, 150 gpm booster, and 1,000 foot hose.
